I hurt. All over. It's the kind of pain that you would get that numbs your entire being and reduces even the most voracious metal-head to tears, weeping openly in front of his peers. What is the source of this pain, you ask? I just sat through First Strike by 80s band Stryken from beginning to end. The horror. The HORROR.
Given the choice, I would much rather someone staple a sign that read "Animals Are For Eating And Wearing" to my torso and toss me into a PETA meeting than having to listen to this, this...poor excuse for a Christian metal album on a continual basis. Besides the ridiculous costume posturing, the uninspired riffs and cheesy "hey, let's crush Satan and rock for Jesus!" lyrical content, culled with the insipid production value of this album...it's enough to make me want to jam a cotton swab into my brain. There's a reason this waste of vinyl wasn't picked up as a classic re-issue by M8 Productions, folks (and with track record M8 has with bad production quality, there's no this would be worth the cash). [UPDATE: By now you may know about the re-issue...at the time of this writing it wasn't - NecRo]
Ah, to be nice, at least they tried. And at least they only released one album...
